Hot Water Cylinders

The hot water cylinder is usually found in your hot press. This stores all the hot water you use throughout your house. New cylinders come pre-lagged for more effective insulation compared to the old lagging jackets that would eventually fall apart. It is advisable, if you have an old cylinder with a lagging jacket, to have a look where the pipes enter and exit the cylinder to check for any green staining, as this is a sign of water weeping from the joints. It is important not to touch the joints as this could lead to a more aggressive weep.
